Hi all
I have a 2008 E83 3.0 D Xdrive. M57 N2
Id appreciate help from anyone who has INPA/NCS/Tool 32.
My only known fault is an airbag light
After weeks of experimentation I finally managed to get INPA partly working, on a Windows 8.1 laptop, with INPA 5.0.4 installed alongside the full package of BST.
I updated the data files with v 53 for E83( only) and left the others that came standard with INPA 5.0.2
Initially I couldn't connect to any modules, but after many nights fiddling with it, I eventually found a thread on another forum where someone couldn't communicate with their ECU because their engine wasn't listed in the daten.
I added an extra line in one of the data config files- DDE62 = D62 M57 ( or something very similar) and voila I can now connect to atleast the engine module and get the code ( glow plug) but cant clear them
I can also see live data from cylinders etc.
However, no othe rmodule connects.
I keep getting the IFH 0009 controllant not responding error.
I have this cable
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/USB-Interface-OBD2-Cable-for-BMW-INPA-Ediabas-K-DCAN-With-FT232RL-Chip-/291427717700?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item43da721244
Has anyone else had this issue.
is it the cable being unreliable
Sounds like data/software if we look at the lack of my engine module in the date, but sounds like cable to me if adding the extra line allowed me to read( though not clear codes) to engine control module.
Any help appreciated..
